Another great day in Belize

Today was second day in Los Flores, an area of Belmopan, Belize. People again had numerous medical and eye problems and in optometry we were blessed to have most glass prescriptions needed. One was 20/2000 or worse and thrilled to get glasses. It is so heart warming to help these people do in need. We will certainly rest well tonight.  BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage

More Monday Stories

As you can tell from the Debs Monday posts we had another interesting day in Belize . We worked at our first brigade site. We met many interesting people and found great needs for medical care and eyecare. We return to the site tomorrow. On returning to the WGO campus we walked to the edge of the property and walked the swinging bridge. A tiring and fun day.  BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage

Sunday in Belize

Don, Gary, and Anthony all dressed up and
ready for church.

Many colorful houses on the way to church.

How about a purple house?

Yellow Hattieville Police Station. Hattieville
was formed by refugees after Hurricane
Hattie hit Belize in 1961.

We attended Ontario Christian Church
under a tent outside and sang many
 familiar songs (in English!)

Psalm 86 was the Psalm for today.

Jacquelyn, Debbie, and Christina at church.

Sunday a Fun Day

As you saw in the prior post we attended a great church in Belize this morning. Spent much the afternoon preparing medicines and glasses to help patients tomorrow and finished with a well prepared discussion on evangelism. We look forward to our first day with patients tomorrow.  BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage BloggerImage

Saturday in Belize

Very blue sky above the clouds.

Disembarking the plane.

Here is where we are.

All of our luggage made it to the
 airport in Belize City.

All packed up and ready to go
on the 1.5 hour trip to Belmopan

These people were selling coconut
milk.

Countryside.

WGO Mission site, our home away
 from home.

A pretty flower, but what is it?

Waterworks.... what makes our drinking water
safe to drink at the mission site.
